Couch Potato

Lizzy has recently discovered the magic of television. I'm not sure that's such a good discovery. I really believe if I'd let her, she would sit in front of the tv all day. Of course, there are only two shows she likes, so maybe she would eventually get tired of "Little People" and "Barbie as Rapunzel" and shut the tv off. Maybe.
If you've ever seen the "Little People" movies, you understand why I'm so annoyed by them. If you've never seen them, consider yourself lucky. I'm not even sure if you can buy a "Little People" movie.... the ones we have came with toys. Lexi informed me they are "claymation" movies. I don't really know about that. What I do know, is the "Little People" theme song is really annoying. If I hear it again today I may throw something at the television.
I know this is a normal part of childhood. And I reminded the big kids of that this morning when they complained about Lizzy's obsession. When Lexi was Lizzy's age, she couldn't get enough of "Veggie Tales". If you ever wonder why we have a dog named "Bob", it's because of that obsession. I was afraid if we didn't name the dog Bob, the baby would be named Bob. We had every single movie, too bad they're on VHS and totally worn out, otherwise I'd try to get Lizzy hooked on those instead!

Jake hopes not many people remember his obesssion, but I am going to remind you, just in case you'd forgotten. Jake LOVED the Wiggles. They may be a little more annoying than "Little People". "Fruit salad, yummy, yummy". We had a couple of VHS Wiggles movies and even two audio cd's!

Now, the big kids wouldn't dream of watching Veggie Tales or the Wiggles, so I am hopeful that this "Little People" obsession too shall pass!
